This website has many resources for celebrating the season. Here are some annotated links to parts of that website that you will find to be of interest.

•  Explanation of the Season of Creation with a “charter of purpose”:  http://seasonofcreation.com/about/

• Planning guidelines for worship committees: http://seasonofcreation.com/resources/planning-worship-guidelines-for-worship-teams/

• Bible Studies for the Season of Creation. Bible studies for the lectionary lessons for each Sunday: http://seasonofcreation.com/worship-resources/bible-studies-for-the-season-of-creation/

Each study session has a number of features:

§      The key text is analyzed closely

§      Pivotal questions are posed for discussion

§      Connection is made with the ecological crisis

§      The text is related to other readings for the Sunday

§      A crucial connection is made with the gospel

§      The study closes with a song and a prayer

Especially significant is that these Bible studies enable people to explore various ways in which the passages discussed are relevant for their own faith, for their relationship to creation and for the way they come to terms with real issues associated with the environmental crisis facing our planet. Just as significant, perhaps, is that people are invited to read the text taking into account the role and perspective of Earth or parts of the Earth community in the story or message of the text.
