In the image above, The Rev. Dr. Leah Schade and confirmation students explain in the Children’s Sermon the three crosses they created as part of their learning about the Apostle’s Creed, “I believe in God the Father, creator of heaven and earth”: One cross represented Creation, the second, Eco- crucifixion, and the third, Eco-Resurrection. At the end of the service, worshipers processed outside to bless water, soil, seeds, gardening tools, and tractors. Worshipers were given free seed packets to take home and plant.
